It was a bit too open-ended for me. Not enough structure.
Also, I had this odd glitch where I had to press X and O together to activate the action associated with the X button. There was no way to use the O button, it seems.

That's one of the areas that had me go like :O when I saw it up there on the plane. |
I'll be spending some serious time base jumping from those mountains haha, so lestat, what's the verdict, the demo convince you to get this game? :P
And heres something that got me interested in the next installment even more then this one. The developers are talking about eventually adding in multiplayer once they can figure out how to bring something different to the table... imagine something like GTA's freemode in Just Cause 3, where you can just mess around and do stuff with your friends... oh my god, just thinking about it I may have to go get a new pair of pants...

Lol yeah, when I was skydiving I was busy looking around at everything as I fell, and forgot to parachute, and, well... died.
To be honest, the city area (Well, the islands with the connecting bridges, that looks like a city-ish?), seems a little small compared to everywhere else, I wonder how the housing and accomodation is in other areas of the game, since at the moment we just see, well, sand houses like we're stuck in the middle-east or something, Do either of you (Or anyone else that decides to post), think that we'll see different styled cities and villages to suit the environments?

I haven't had that problem, try re-downloading the demo? And what are you talking about regarding not enough structure?

Variety is something this game does amazing, remember we are only seeing one of the climate areas, this video will give you an idea of how varied this game is...

Well, it did convince me to get this game, that's for sure. Probably will be getting it for the PC, as there's the possibility of mods being implemented, and mods on such an open-world game only equals profit to me ;)
That actually sounds very good if they can implement them properly. Imagine doing airplane races with your friends, that would be pretty epic! :D
@jbrist
I think that there will be different setting, varying with the different parts of the island itself. The area of the demo is very desert like, so the accomodations meet the feeling of the area, so it could be true for the other areas of the game as well

Hell with plane races, imaging switching planes with your friends mid air? "Her nice ride can I try it out?"..."Yeah man sure, get over here, I'll take yours" lmao
And yeah there is huge variety, look at the video I posted

Yeah, the scale of the game is really amazing, but like jbrist said, it looks to be a bit smaller than Just Cause 1. |
what do you mean with smaller the size of the map ? The size of the map in Just cause 1 was 250,000 acres (1,012 km2; 391 sq mi)
Map size in Just cause 2 willl be 1240 km² or around 400+ sq miles. But the big difference is that in just cause 2 there are mountains deserts jungle (5 climatic zones) and over 100 vehicles. the quality of the landscape will be a lot better and the size of the map 25% bigger. btw the demo only, had 35 square miles which is twice as big as the oblivion map.
The world will be gigantic and I have this game on my list since I downloaded this trailer last summer, were they talked about the development.
