They should really start from scratch with the sequel. |
Well, looks like they are fixing all the problems. Also, I strongly disagree with you, the controls are really bad but it's not game-breaking, I really enjoyed the game a lot and I know a lot of people who loved this game because they weren't looking for the perfect controls, they were looking for a new experience.
I am very excited for this sequel.

I'm not really talking about the controls, although those were atrocious as well.
I'm talking about summoning a bridge, and it falling straight through solid ground, or animals falling straight through the summoned bridge. Hardness errors like that really killed the game for me.

This is not something that you can call "bug" or "error". You can simply pick up the object and place it where you want, *boom* case solved. I don't know why it is such a big deal for you.
|
Ofcourse you can call it a bug or error(!) I summon an object and it falls through the solid floor. How can I just pick up the object and *boom* case solved when it falls right through the floor?
There are multiple levels where summoning certain objects is just broken. Levels with a pit of lava? Summon a bridge or tree, and it will fall through solid ground. Object = unusable. Game = broken.

Oh, now I know what you are talking about, I am sorry, it is indeed a bug, but you can simply restart the level and move on...
I am not trying to defend these flaws but I want to defend the game because I don't think it's a horrible game just because it has flaws, even Mass Effect 1 had a lot of flaws and look at the reviews or fanbase, people simply ignored the flaws, and then they tried to see the good side.
I believe that Mass Effect 1 had more flaws than Scribblenauts (at launch).
-Edit-
Also, you can't use certain objects in certain levels because it would be easier, there is an interview explaining everything.
And yes, the game is broken but you still can have fun if you have patience and tolerance, just like Mass Effect.
