They may not be imitating Blu-Ray or Six Axis, but just because Move LOOKS like the Wii Mote doesn't mean it's using their Tech.  Nor does it mean it's a rip off, they just took their design idea and that has nothing to do with Tech.

Well those right there are meant to be rip-offs.  Trust me, I've already read about those and seen videos from reviewers (funny reviewers like Ashens, that review stuff like the Vii and Polystation stuff, lol).



  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

Mcrosoft is notorious for not innovating. They always take other ideas, and polish them, so they are not the kind of company to be embarrassed over such a release, if anything it's expected from Microsoft.

Sony should be, and proably is a little embarrassed.  However, accepting that is better than remaining in 3rd place.

Sure it won't be just HD, that would be a step back for Nintendo. What's the point on launching a new machine that only adds a tech that is proven not to be the number one choice in gaming?

HD will be included of course but knowing Nintendo I think they won't even bother to mention it, because it is so obvious, it's not an innovation that's just a bigger resolution over the current one.

I think even monkeys have that sense of evolution when they try to break fruits with bigger rocks than rather with small ones.

 

The next Nintendo console shall wow us and we'll all offer a chicken as a sacrifice for that.

long story short. I think everybody should get off their high horse and stop whining or boasting. cuz nobody (nintendo too) has been an angel

i'm personally very tired of nintendo with their comments about "we innovate, sony copies" or when they said "we were presented with the idea of natal, but we didn't like it" (i'll do the actual translation for mr. iwata if you don't mind: ms can have it if they like. we thought of it first but came up with a better idea)

point is, shut your pie holes and enjoy the money we give you and use it to give us more new and innovative ideas to enjoy.

Its not about being an Angel, its about being smart, is Sony and MS being smart with Move and NATAL, the answer as we all know is nope

These aren't going to capture the Wii's audience nor do they expand the market beyond the Wii, at best they will let Sony and MS keep the hardcore fans they already have

the point of this thread is about comments made by our beloved reggie saying he'd be embarassed to do what sony did. and the fact is "shut up cuz no one likes you either"

as for what you're saying, I totally agree, I don't think sony nor ms will turn up a profit on this. that ship has sailed, it's too late for them to implement this.

am i against them doing this? no. I really doubt i will be buying a "ps move" unless they really give something i gotta have. (and that won't happen cuz i'd much rather play galaxy or zelda or fable or mass effect that i'm missing out on than pick up a move) but i'm still happy they're doing it. they're giving more options to us, the consumer. we will now have more possibilities to have enjoyable experience using their products. not only this but it will force nintendo to either innovate their motion controlls again or to come up with something totally new. which in the end is only a win-win for us. as for sony and ms. it's opens up more possibilities for them in the future as well.

It's not going to force Nintendo to do anything if it doesn't make any waves though, Natal is the more unique but most limited, Move just provides something WMP has been supplying since last July. If they're not being smart then it's not good competition and it's only good competition that forces a beast to really fight for it's territory.

HD isn't an innovation, its the natural progression of things...  The most obvious, thoughtless and visionless of natural progression choices at that.

Were not talking about PC's, i cant connect my PC to my 32 inch TV.

 

Were talking about Consoles that play games first and everything else.

Really man? I'd beg to differ considering I'm using a laptop connected via a VGA cable to my 42" TV to make this post. LOL.

Thats nice for you but my PC cant hook up to my TV, and all consoles can connect to all TV's..

 

And the term HD applies to TV's, since Monitors cant watch TV (unless you have some Computer program) the resolution terms applies to TV's.

You do understand that LCD TV's are essentially LCD PC monitors with tuners put in them... right? And most computers can connect to them. All HDTV's that I have ever seen have a VGA port. And so do all PC's. Soooo... It's the same thing. Also, for a long time, 360 didn't even have native HD. They had Progressive scan... Which is actually what mine is on now :o I still haven't bought an HDMI cable yet... :0
