Say what you want, I can recall so many people saying motion control were shit and how traditonal control were better than waggle. Now what you have? A "shut up Nintendo, that's technology evolution. "
Don't get me wrong, sometimes Nintendo really piss me off. But here reggie is just god damn right. They are driving the industrie. You really think Sony would have done a "move thing" if wii was a fail? Give me a break!
Oh and please stop with the Nintendo will copy HD. HD is just the logical evolution of graphics improvement going on since 20 years. Microsoft normaly have a really good PR and have done a good job with the xbox. But Sony have been bitching everybody for years. Stop calling a cat, a dog and face it. Sony have followed the thread and motion control is just the next step in gaming. Comptetion is good, it brings better games, but you can still see who is lame... |
Well, I would think sony is very stupid if they launched the move knowing that wii was a failure.
Anyway, what people dont see is that leaving from the fanboy talk "this copies that" and "No it doesnt, that copied other thing" the only thing that matters is companies trying to give costumers more options and the consumer will decide which one they like the most.

Invention: Magic wand for gamers

Magic wand
PlayStation gamers are always looking for exciting new ways to control the onscreen action, but using a camera to track a player's body movement has not worked reliably, admits Sony. The camera gets confused by other things in the room.
Sony's new idea is to plug a webcam into the console, and give the gamer a handheld wand similar to a pocket flashlight. The wand has a battery, a few mouse-like buttons and several different coloured LEDs that can be switched on and off in various combinations.
By pressing the buttons and waving the wand towards the webcam, the gamer can click to shoot aliens, drag-and-drop images on screen and navigate menus.
The webcam is tuned to see only pure bright colours and map their motion in space, so it can ignore ordinary room lights. And if two people have wands with different coloured LEDs, they can play against each other.
