See... when someone makes a post like this... just ban them.  Seriously.

I tend to believe that those types of posts are actually secret code left on an anonymous site to transfer data betwixt members of a secret society. That way, I don't lose quite as much faith in humanity as a whole.

I'm very much with Stick on this. It's a natural reaction, and I understand it: the Wii has become the most popular console on these boards, and since the majority of users on the board are Wii owners, the mob mentality tends to set in and people start saying things they probably wouldn't in an environment that wasn't so pro-Wii.

But if we ever want this site to become less pro-Wii, and more even handed and objective -- I certainly want that to happen -- then we need to stop jumping on every pro-360/PS3 comment.

I'm grateful to Legend11, Lost Tears of Kain, Sinha, MrStickball, Rocketpig, and others for sticking around in what is clearly a hostile environment. Many of the other 360 fans left: even if the data presented on the site is interesting, no one wants to get attacked every time they mention interest in their favorite console.

I think that this is the nature of the beast when you have competing consoles. It's kind of like sports teams. Most people root for their favorite teams and sometimes people have more than one favorite team. For example, my two favorite football teams (Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers) will be playing each other very soon. I intend to cheer for both because they're both teams I like much like I cheer for multiple consoles because I like them. Now, just because I cheer for them doesn't mean I can't recognize their failings whether it be football (awful snaps, poor passes) or consoles (bad price point, hardware failures, lack of storage).

Also like sports teams, people are seriously into a team will boo the other team. They will scream things at the other team. They will say and do many offensive things. I see more malice at a single football game than the entirety of vgChartz in a week. And yet people here complain about it.

I think people who are bothered by this stuff need to grow a backbone and a thicker skin.

lol

The 360 has a fantastic library. Its library doesn't deserve to be attacked. That's not fair. Some people don't dig Halo or perhaps Halo 3 didn't live up to their expectations. Some people don't dig other games on other systems. None of that matters. Right now, the fact is that cross platform games, by and large, are best on the 360.

One issue I have with the 360, however, is the overall reliability issues with their hardware. I see a lot of people suffer from 360 failures, and I especially feel bad for those who get replacements that fail within a month or otherwise have to deal with multiple failures in a short period. MS' phone support is far more miss than hit, with many of the repair experiences being fairly long ordeals (about a month call-to-refurb arrival), and often ending in disappointment or fear of another failure. Or people who buy brand new bundles and get them to fail out of the box or within weeks.

I just don't understand why MS hasn't done anything serious to address the reliability issue of the 360. The heat sink addition is obviously not doing it, and the 3-year RROD-only warranty is just enough to avoid a class action lawsuit. That's very frustrating -- it's like so many good games are trapped on an unreliable platform.

I think this is exactly what stick is talking about. What does this have to do with the topic?

I don't think Stickball meant that we should crack down on constructive criticism. BigFatJ didn't say anything immflamatory in that post.

Scotland - Posts like that are what I'm talking about.

Words of Wisdom - I understand the thick-skin thing. Part of me doesn't care about the fact of the anti-X360 stuff that goes on sometimes.

But....

If we want to get more users to the Xbox 360 forums, we have to stop some of the junk that goes on. I fully understand the fact the Wii is winning, and more people 'get on the boat', but with much succuess comes much responsibility from the Wii users....Which sometimes isn't showing up.

And again, here's the issue: Wii owners don't have to deal with people befouling their Nintendo forums, do they? I mean, I usually see threads about PS3 failues, X360 RROD, and such posts. But not so much for the Wii. Don't get me wrong, that's a great thing, but that's how it should be for all of us, not just the Nintendo camp.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I don't understand why people seem to think that there are way more Wii users than Xbox 360 users. I mean, they're within a million in sales with one another. I own both, but this site is definitely geared towards Wii owners.

And a great one that had alot of Wii owners doubting it, since it's a Wii game "Nights on PS2" by Konichiwa

3 Wii Owners/Supporters (Neos, Naznatips, Zucas) doubed the chance of this happening, saying it was dumb/impossible since it was coming out on the Wii.

1 X360 Owner (Alexi De Oni) doubed it

2 X360 Owners posted positive comments about the chance/possibility of it, with sound logic.

No if you had half a brain you understand why its doubtful.  If you are going to make a statement as large as this one make sure at least it has some kinda credibility not jsut an idiotic rant by and unthoughtful post.  Back to drawing boards buddy.
