Forums - Nintendo - The Grinder Not Coming Out For Wii Anymore???

I'd still like some actual word from HVS.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

So HVS the next company going bankrupt?

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

My interest in theirgames is running thinner and thinner. First it was going multiplatform (had no problem with it), then they anounced its going to be a top down shooter (questionable) and now this?(unacceptable!). They're even tonning down the visuals in Tournament of fighters (I much prefered the gritty style look). If its true, then Im probably not getting the conduit either.

Unconfirmed report translated from a foreign language.

Hardly reliable and yet already we're seeing a lot of people on this thread throwing HVS under the bus. They were supposed to be one of the few third party developers committed to producing quality efforts, or at least making a genuine effort to make quality products.

Remember? Fickle audience.

Will the Wii faithful love HVS once again if and when this unconfirmed rumor turns out to be completely false and a Wii exclusive FPS version of The Grinder (Wii's "Left 4 Dead") is still on?

Actually what brought this on was:

1) The Conduit's being rather a disappointment vs. what they hyped it to be, with a very buggy online

2) The rather horrendeous changes made to Gladiator Ad (now called Tournament of Ages)

3) The moving of the Grinder to 2011 because it became multiplatform and then the apparent change of its format from FPS to top down shooter.

After all this, regardless of whether this report is correct or not, while I will not "throw them under the bus", I think there are other developers whose games I will enjoy as much if not more and who merit the limited amount of Dollars I have more than HVS.

Actually it's more to do with the HD version madness seriously you can't blame anyone for thinking wtf, it's like if SE planned a release FFXIII on the PS3 then turn the 360 version into sports title with out showing people the PS3 version.

FYI -- Kotaku said it could not get HVS to comment about a Wii version, adding more fuel to the fire.

But it is also said that HVS was hinting at a Conduit sequel. Could it be it took the development work for the original Grinder and making it a Conduit sequel instead.
