Is HVS in troubles financially?

Not unless the costs for The Grinder got out of control (hope not). Even The Conduit made money, and their licensed games are still profitable (their Ben 10 game went platinum).
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Unlikely. I think they just had a change of heart/mind. They're dumbasses to think that hype for a Wii L4D clone could transfer into hype for a HD top down shooter.

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.
I just looked at The Conduit sales, they seem to have dropped off completely and it'll be tracking below Madworld soon.

@ demotruk
Let's just not call them dumbasses, they developed a competent engine for the Wii despite doing a rather cliche game on it.
I really would like to know what is going on honestly. There's money, or the lack of it, involved on this.

Why not, it's a dumbass thing to think. They've been hyping a Wii L4D clone and suddenly change it into something completely different, how can you expect the people supporting you to be happy with that? They should have come clean with people when they last talked to IGN.
I bought their game out of support myself. No need to point out my mistake though, I've learned my lesson.

Maybe its a translation thing? Maybe it means that there will be no Wii version of that god awful top down shooter and instead will be the fps that we were anticipating all those moons ago? A man can dream can't he?
Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:
If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

I kind of hope not, as I was looking to one day land a job there after I get my MS in digital animation, since they are Chicago based. But from some of the moves they are making lately, I wouldn't be surprised if that turned out to be true.
Whether it's coming to the Wii or not I have lost all interest in this game! From what I have read, it's going to be a top-down shooter for the PS360 instead of a FPS and the Wii version may meet the same fate :(.
Going back to the February interview with ign the question was asked how will the grinder be different on the hd twins and they said it would be seen at gdc

I wonder if it is possible that while the HD twins get this over head shooter the wii will still get the original design since they have to make 2 different games to begin with.
I HAVE A DOUBLE DRAGON CAB IN MY KITCHEN!!!!!!
