Let me clarify what Sony has to match Nintendo games

Mario = Little Big Planet

Zelda = The Last Guardian(Team ICO game)

Wii Sports = Sports Champions

lolololol!

Sorry, nowhere even close.

True.  Little Big Planet is a lot better than Mario games (as much as I love NSMBwii).  Zelda and Wii sports are going to be tough to beat but I haven't played TLG or sports Champions so I can't say for sure.  And neither can you for that matter.

Sports Champions comes from London Studio.  It's the Eyetoy/Singstar/This is Football team... so yeah, I think we can be pretty safe in saying they'll most likely fall well short of about *anything* EAD shits out.

LBP is a great construction kit wrapped around a floaty, rather shit platformer.  Super Princess Peach has more solid platforming and mechanics, nevermind the mainline Marios.  NSMBWii absolutely rapes it.

Zelda and Trico could be a draw though.  And I say that as a HUGE Zelda fan.  Ueda's previous efforts were fantastic.

I'm inclined to agree with you on the Sports Champions front.  My expectations are not too high but I'm giving Sony the benefit of the doubt since this will probably the packaged game that comes with the Move starter kit and I highly doubt that Sony would release anything less than a very good game to show off Move's capabilities.  Even Sony haters would agree with that.

Now to the more important point. Saying that NSMBwii rapes LBP as a platformer is simply absurd to the point of comical.  While I agree that LBP can be glitchy at times, it is better in any category I can think of with the possible exceptions of crisp control.  And even that is such a small disadvantage that it is almost unnoticable.  Let's see, to list a few things that LBP does better: visuals, scope, soundtrack, replayability, variety, multiplayer, customability, physics, presentation.......   Don't get me wrong, I love NSMBwii with a nostalgic passion that I have for no other.  But to be honest, it is a last gen upgrade to Super Mario Bros. 3 and just can't compete with LBP on, ALMOST, any front.

Logic makes sense and I agree. For non-gamers/casuals Natal will likely be the easiest and best option for them. There are millions of people who are casuals/non-gamers and even suck at using a Wii-mote because they just can't handle a controller.

PS Move is more likely to satisfy core/hardcore gamers need for motion, but not casuals. Casuals don't really care about graphics all that much so I don't think PS Move is going to get people to spend more on them over the Wii option. Natal needs to be bundled and priced within $50 of the Wii system in order for casuals to consider it as well, imo. Luckily MS has been saving a price cut and should have GPU/CPU and maybe even full hardware revisions coming considering the mounting rumors of a 360 Slim/Redesign.

How can you compare Natal to anything when it has not been released yet?

What about PS Move? it deserves a poll option, it already has more developers than Natal, it has 20 first party and 36 third party developers.

lol i think it was rolstoppable who complained about this and i found it weird at first (i'm new here) but i purposely entered this thread to see how many posts it would take before the playstation controller would be mentioned.. lol 2nd response. pretty impressive

he's asking about a comparison between the natal and the wiimote, why does the ps3 controller need to be brought up? if you wanna discuss it make another thread about it. maybe he's only got an xbox and a wii and wants to know which is better. maybe he's allergic to shiny glowing balls and considers the ps arc (move doesn't really sound like an object, does it? i'm not comfortable saying it) no good and therefore the obvious worst one.

and as for the OP, I think it was Netyaroze who said it. pretty pointless topic. you're comparing the wiimote to something we know practically nothing about and totally disregarding the ps3 controller because you asked which is the best casual controller, i don't see how the price, 3 complicated accesories (o noes. my brain hurts too much), and lack of nintendo games (thanks for pointing out ps3 didn't make nintendo games for all those who didn't know btw. i was pretty peed off when i started up my ps3 and slipped in twilight princess and the tv screen laughed at me and the disc came flying out n hit me in the head) all play a role in the concept and ideas the ps controller will employ to attract the casual market.

oh and the only reason i bring this up is cuz im guessing you were trying to attract the ps3 "fanboys" to come in n mention their beloved ps move

Oh please. That's just bs. Look at the thread title again will you?

To be blunt: Flame on.

Wiimote with motion plus is the best.

I'm surprised I'm saying this (as I didn't expect to be impressed by it), but PSMove really caught my attention. You can't count it out just because you don't want it to win.

Hmm tough choice.......but I think I will have tooooooo goooooooooo withhhhhh....................

PS Move

If natal actually does everything that they say it can do then probs natal (have to wait and see) wiimote is still amazing tho :)
