I have it too and played it for 4 hours. Got past the first boss fight, and currently in the lower part of the city.

I really like this game. There is a learning curve to the game. WHere when you are fighting up to 5 enemies. You have to use all your abilities to defeat them.

It all depends on how much you plan to put into it. If you just shoot then shoot. If you just use your sword then you can do. The real fun is using everything you have.

For example
You are fighting 4 badguys. I have fought up to 5 at one time.
Shoot 2 of the guys in the knee. Then rush one with a jump slash. Finish him off quickly. The other guys are behind you. Lucky for you their are 2 options for that. You can do a 360 slash attack if you have it. Or Just a backwards trust move. Where you never have to turn around and face him. From there Knock one guy in the air and jump up to bring him down. Like Kenshin or just stay on the ground and shoot him with one of your guns.

This game is awesome! If you want a core Wiimotionplus experience. Then buy this day one! It will tie you over untill Nintendo brings something new out.

They have done a good job with the upgrades on both offense and defense. The missions and the pace of the game is very quick. Never feels slow like a Metroid game.
This is the 1st FPS Action Adventure. My man is doing a good job describing it, but not giving the game it's real due.

Well sorta. I've got my preorder from amazon coming on release, so I feel morally fine getting in a bit early. Plus I put all my Wii games on my hard drive anyways to keep the noise down and make them load faster. I personally would never download a game I haven't bought. It's unethical and destroys the Wii ecosystem and with the current 3rd party support Wii owners can't afford that.

They have ;)  Don't ask how i got it but suffice to say that the devs desreve all the praise for pulling off a true quality product not to menshion a very fun game. I'm over 12 hrs in and can safely state that its game of the year material in my opinion and great value for money! Controls check,visuals check, sound and music check, replay value check(looking forward to restart on hard mode) and best of all the game makes you feel like a complete badass!

Good to hear the quality has gone up from the first one. I'm not sure why but I just had a hunch this game would be far superior from the crappy first Red Steel. I'm definitely liking the cell shaded style and the greater focus on sword combat, not to mention finally a game that uses motion plus seriously!

You're certainly not alone in thinking this is Game of The Year material, this is by far the best game available for the Wii console, including first party titles. This game is so good that if you didn't see the Ubisoft logo at the beginning you'd be easily forgiven if you thought this was a first party title. It blows everything else out of the water.
