Yeah, I responded on that response that it was bullshit, but he deleted it.
And he hasn't unlocked the other difficulty level, so it's his first play-through. I'll wait and see what some reviews say before I decide to buy it though.

Well, going by what Chrizum and others who played the game say, difficulty levels are not locked, so your basis for saying that this was that guy's first playthrough is all wrong.

Even less reason to replay the game then. I normally start with the hardest difficulty available in games and well most of my games have unlockable difficulties and this guy was playing on medium, so that's why I thought it was his first play-through.

I was not referring to the game's replayability (though there are other things beyond difficulty levels that apparently give the game replayability, but frankly replayability is in the eye of the beholder), I was just referring to the unlikeliness that the time the guy claimed is anywhere near realistic for a first playthrough of the game, even running through the game and ignoring side quests. From looking at it it certainly didn't look like a first playthrough, and this just confirmed this, that's all, not more and not less.

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin

Well, if I'm getting this game then I'll probably do a sword only campaign, gun only campaign and a mixed one. Unless it isn't a good game though :P

So, it probably does have re-playability, but I'm still kinda worried. Aah well, we'll soon find out.

The Bearded One had it right when he likened it to Guitar Hero. You simply wouldn't be able to complete the game using Ninja difficulty without completing the game in Master mode first. It'd be like picking up a Guitar Hero controller for the first time and playing Through The Fire and The Flames lol.

The game starts off nice and easy (on Master mode) and whenever you start thinking the game is getting too easy it ramps up the difficulty. To start with the enemies are daft and just line up to get chopped to pieces, but as the game goes on they start to block your attacks, attack you with soft attacks. By the time the Ninjas arrive on the scene they end up dodging bullets, having strong guards that you need to attack in a certain way to get past, have strong attacks which have you having to defend in a certain way, have special powers of their own and try and box you into small areas so you can't dodge attacks so well or surround you and attack you at the same time. You will be able to complete the game in Ninja mode but it'll take you ages if you haven't played and completed the game in Master mode. The Bearded One's Guitar Hero analogy was spot-on.

Besides sometimes I swing the wii remote and It did not do any response. The controls are frustrating in some ocasions. The game is a little linear, but in the deep is fun.

I have a small feeling that we're being trolled...

What do you mean by this?

Look at the users talking about the game. They have hardly any posts.

And they also all happen to have copies of the game?

I don't buy it.

Edit: I stand corrected. I forgot that you were the one who started this thread. XD Sorry! I'm just a little paranoid.

I can only speak for myself and if i think a game is good I will have no hasitation in recommending it. It's ok if you don't trust everything you read on forums, in fact its very wise of you considering all the virals hitting the blogs en all ;)

A game needs to be challenging, I like to do things the hard way in games like not collecting any energy tanks in metroid games. I hope there's an even higher difficulty level then Ninja.

Why would anyone want to have the controls 1:1?
I honestly fail to see how this game would be absolutely better all of a sudden if it had 1:1 sword fighting.
It's not like we're professional sword fighters here, so a game with true 1:1 sword-fighting would be very annoying for a lot of people.

The sword-fighting element in the game is what turns me off, even if it's not 1:1
