Dude, you've been on this site for a while now, judging by your post count. Yet it seems that you do not pay attention to the weekly Famitsu charts. I will now enlighten you. Sony, Capcom, and just about every other developer in Japan re-releases games. For example, Monster Hunter Portable has been re-released as a Best hits title. I could provide more examples but one is enough. It's similar to the player's choice titles that are released here in North America.

It's kind of like the New Play Control I think, they released them when the line up was pretty weak. Perhaps they just have to get through the first quarter and this could help or at least keep their investors calmed, considering what Iwata said about the software droughts. I don't doubt there's more coming, but seriously this 1st quarter is even weaker than last years. NSMBWii though has carried the Wii on its own.

Nintendo is probably just waiting for the next fiscal year. But third parties do need to start announcing more stuff.

Anyway... yeah tres... uh the players choice, greatest hits, platinum hits, etc have been around since the PS1 era.... and they always rerelease games with a new color and lower price to squeeze out some more money.  Not really sure why you feel the need to crap on the line-up in the OP, it just comes off as trolling after all the games that's been announced... It's really just not needed or justified by what you're even referencing.

It's different actually, this is a decision by Nintendo themselves, not by the third parties who made the games. Obviously they will have to agree, but the release dates are given by Nintendo, whereas the Best Hits are released by the publishers themselves whenever they feel its fine.

Not trolling, just look at the line up and see for yourself. I donm't say this is a bad idea, cause 3rd parties benefit from it, but this suddenly appeared when the line up was at its weakest point. Like I said, they may want to get through the first quarter and have some releases. My grief is not actually with Nintendo, but with 3rd parties that haven't had the dignity to announce a game in a long time now.

Yeah, true, whenver Nintendo gets on announcing stuff, third parties go away, while when third parties started announcing stuff, Nintendo was really quiet for a long time. I just want balance, Japan is just not supporting consoles anymore and Wii gets the least out of  that.
