Forums - Sony - PS mote so far: Maybe not as perfect as sony claims it is

I don't think it's bad. However price is an issue. It's twice as expensive as the Wii WM+. And as an upgrade, it's five times more expensive. However I don't think the average consumer will perceive it to be twice as good.

It's also an add on, which further limits the market penetration.

Another thing to consider, Nintendo could add WM+ for no cost tomorrow if it wanted to.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

Maybe it's just me but I think kids are going to go crazy for the bulb, and it changes color too.

... I just watched some vids - don't you agree that that playing with a lightbulb looks a bit goofy and might prove annoying? I typically play in a rather dark room, I could imagine that waving a lightbulb in front of my face all the time would eventually get on my nerves.

You know you can turn the glow off right?

I like your signature leo. Hopefully this will put aside the critizism of sony copying nintendo.

Actually, no, I didn't :) I thought the glow was necessary for the tracking? At least in darkness?

But I freely admit I haven't read all the details about how the wand actually works yet.

But Sony IS copying Nintendo, at least in this particular case, just look at the nunchuck or this picture:

That video shows something very very different from what the "Move" is now. The video shows a wand (something to make tricks) and not a motion controller that will work with some real games.

I don't understand why it's such a big deal for some people, Nintendo also copied something, this is how things usually work.

meh....I guess Sony still has time to fix the kinks and whatnot. still don't see myself buying it, but I'm always up for some convincing

Sony has decided to make a noticable lag for their shooters using Move in order to make them more realistic. I mean, in real life no one could move a big, heavy gun as fast as a Wii Remote or a mouse.

Well I can kind of agree that the sub controller is a copy of the nunchuck, unless otherwise.

Guess Patcher was right about the Wii HD... =P
