2) We're talking about the month of February in the US. It didn't even give it a weekly boost of 68%, it was a boost of 21% for the week. Where are you getting 68% from?

53k -> 53k -> 60k -> 53k -> 73k -> 89k
From your link. Maybe you should learn how to read charts. I can tell you it aint a coincidence sales rose 20k week before KZ2 came out then another 16k after that.
The PS3 continues to grow even with lot of shortages everwhere.

When demand > supply, sales are a function of supply. The Wii had shortages all through 2007 and most of 2008, but there was still weekly variability and there was still growth.
