Sounds like translations have already been done for other releases of them.  They'd just have to be applied to the original version for VC.

Plus they've brought other Japan only releases to VC, although I don't know how much, if any, translating was done for those.

I imagine if sales are strong enough for FFI and FFII (IV), Square would do it, but not holding my breathe.   Will download FFII in the meantime

I hope the re release FF3 on it. I have 4 different copes of FF2 no need for a 5th. But, with 3 I only have the SNES copy and I try not to use it much as it is getting old.

All of the NES FF games have been out in Japan for a long time. And its not like the west hasn't had access to these games countless times either.  In my opinion, since they've re-released these games so many times now, its not that big of news. I mean, if you wanted the games and haven't gotten them by now on the SNES/PSX/GBA/PSN/WonderSwan/iPhone/PC/toaster...then WiiWare is pretty much redundant.

Now, if they re-released the Dragon Quest/Warrior games on WiiWare, THAT would be major news.

If you wanted the games but didn't get them in other places.... I would think Virtual Console would be pretty good, actually, rather than "redundant". Given that you skipped all the others.
