I always wanted to get this game but never had the money to buy it as other games always came before this. So now I got a 30 dollar giftcard for gamestop and coincidently this is 30 bucks as well.....so would it be a good game for that price. I just need a game to get me through a week in anticipation of GoW3.

What your guys thoughts? also if you guys recommend another game in this price range feel free

i was thinkin of pickin it up myself

I have Dead Space ($20 new) and it is really good - its RE4 but more survival horror

from what i've heard and seen (which I'm sure you have too) RE5 is more action than survival horror

so if you want action i say go with RE5 but if you want more of a survival horror (but with some good action) go with Dead Space

I started making videos for youtube; check them out.

Systems owned: Atari 2600, NES(3), Top loader NES, Yobo NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Sega Gamegear, Sega Nomad, Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Playstation 2, Wii, PS3 (slim 120 GB), Wii U

You should congratulate me. I destroyed the vile red falcon and saved the universe. I consider myself a hero.

I think it is definitely worth $30. I paid $60 for it on launch day and I didn't feel ripped off.

Go ahead and get it. It's a good game that you'll spend a good amount of time playing.

Resident Evil 5 is a REALLY good game, especially in coop. It doesn't feel like a Resident Evil game at all (RE4 at least still had some of the atmosphere, if not the horror) but it's definitely a game everyone should at least try.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

^This. There are so many great unlockables and collectibles, it begs you to play it over and over. Also there's the mercenaries mode as well, and 2 cheap expansions too. Worth $60 if you ask me. My GOTY 2009.

Be sure to buy the Gold Edition though.

I tried to enjoy RE5, but couldn´t....didn´t like the forced co-op and the levels looked pretty boring to me...I didn´t mind the fact you can´t run and shoot at the same time, what killed the game for me were the 2 complaints above.

Best co-op shooter of this gen IMO.

Even better than Gears of War

+1

And the linearity of it, the lack of exploration. It's a generic TPS, with a terrible inventory system and absurd controls. I forced myself to go up to the car scene, but the game just wasn't fun.
