Could be true I suppose. Hollywood is littered with litigation to gain royalties - many of which succeed I gather - so perhaps this is just the sad side of large US entertainment companies.

No doubt this is only their side of the story - but I'll be fascinated to know why these guys would be doing anything majorly insubordinate when in theory they should be operating in a cocoon delivering CoD games and not subject to much to be insubordinate about.

I mean, at the end of the day they delivered 2 of the biggest games this gen on console... it's kind of hard to see why any employer would remotely want to fire them unless they wanted them out the way for some reason.

That aside, I really am beginning to dislike the greed AND games I'm seeing come out of activision. They need to take notes from better developers, like Nintendo, Epic, Insomniac, Valve, Intelligent Systems, or ND.

it seems from the outside that following the mega success of MW2 that some one said lets have a department dedicated to spin off / milk the franchise and to do that they had to take control of IW,because the new COD department and the sackings aren't coincidence.

On another note, this reminds me of Itagaki (who was also fired) vs. Tecmo.
