Gah, the goes to eleven joke was the centerpiece to my GTA editorial two years ago. I want a quarter.

I am sorry, but Deadly Premonition does not "Goes to 11". It is a 10/10.

I will, if you don't mind a 10/10 review of a game I didn't play. If you do want to create a review for the blog, please email it me here. You can see the format on page 4 of the other page:
http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=102999&page=4
Anyhow, here is what I wrote on that page:
If you send me a review, please send me it in the following format:
Review:
Genre:
System:
Reviewer:
Summary:
Pros:
*
*
*
*
Final Score:
10/10
Note, Review: is for game to be reviewed. Fill in information to the right side. Reviewer is you. Put your name, or whatever you want to be called. Go with a happy, shiny nickname if you don't want to use your name. The review should be upbeat and positive, with NO flaws listed.
I would say stick to 10/10, unless the game is seen honestly as off the chart awesome, or a serious pet favorite and you can list a bunch, then you go 11/10. Over 9000 will NEVER appear. It shouldn't ever get one of those. Anyhow, the reviews need to be written from the perspective of a fanboy of the game, best if you actually like a game a lot. I will be looking to only do one review per game. Feel free to reply to the game with your own review, with 10/10 being the lowest review.
Example review (and this is on the Blog site, based upon me doing a review of the write up on Gamestop sales site):
Review: Spongebob's Boating Bash
Genre: Racer
System: Nintendo DS (DS version reviewed)
Reviewer: Rich Hutnik
Summary:
Help Spongebob get his boating license.
Pros:
* Contains Spongebob!
* Can play as multiple characters
* Choose from a selection of boats to race.
* Play against family and friends.
Final Score:
10/10

watch this make to Metacritic. :) |
I am thinking of adding more granularity between 10 and 11, so I can have a 10.8/10, for example, so maybe it MIGHT slip into Metacritic. I am debating that here:

I still will keep the 11, for games I really like. There is also the Mythical Over 9000 rating for mythical games that don't exist. I may play around with that and allow for mythical games to get a rating of 8999 or 9000 for just missing world changing awesomeness. Think of the band from Bill and Ted's movies where it radically changed society level of awesomeness.
