Seeing how microsoft saying this will be the biggest game og 2010 do you think reach will beat halo 3 in sales?

I am not crazy about Halo Reach but I have this feeling that it will be the biggest game this year and it could also pulverized Halo 3's sales in just few months...

I think it will come pretty darn close if not ahead of Halo 3, the game looks like its going to completely blow Halo 3 out of the water with the type of gaming experience its going to deliver.

I doubt it. This time, they have a real competitor that will divert sales: Call of Duty 7.

Easily, bigger install base. People are going to eat up the MP.

Easily. Halo 3 launched with 11.5 million consoles in the wild. Reach will launch with over 41 million.

I think it will be close. If you like Reach then you probably have halo 3.

I can see it passing it though, as there are more consoles out there now than 3 years ago, as well it's not really a "sequel" so new people who haven't played the Halo franchise can probably pick this up and not feel "lost" playing it.

Also there are probably (too bad these numbers aren't tracked) a lot of people who traded in Halo 3/ODST and was bought by someone else, and I think both these people will buy Reach new if Bungie can deliver on what they are saying the game will look like, I think this will be a Day 1 for most.
