PSP isn't dead yet. They just have to lower the price and bang people won't see it as dead.
OT: Curse wii's ablitly to disappear from the shelves and not getting more fast enough! How are we going to beat last year's numbers now?

Heavy rain didn't boost ps3 hardware..
sony supply did, they aren't shipping as much as they can and aren't meeting demand, hence the widespread shortages

I expect Wii sales to spike when Monster hunter tri is out, I expect no less than 15,000 boost, but surley with all the promotion it will do well. And mayb if they announce a black wii bundle since it comes with the black classic controller pro anyway.

Above I'm a proud Gran Turismo fan, not a Sony fanboy, and now a proud 360 owner, but sharing xbox live accts ATM
End of 2009 Predictions (made Jan 1, 2009): My predictions were pretty accurate, the 360 was over and the Wii was just under.
Wii: 65 mil (yea I'm crazy) 360: 35 mil (its getting there) PS3: 30 mil (the slim better do well)
End of 2010 Predictions (made Jan 7, 2010):
Wii: 81 mil 360: 47 mil PS3: 45 mil

When was the last time the PSP had a price drop? I just remember one from 199 to 169, but I don't remember when that was.
Nice numbers for all, except PSP... ouch.

This.
And ps3s have been more regularly in stock on Amazon over this past week. We got in a shipment of three at our store today, but we still have four reserves we have to fill, so we have to hold them for the time being.
But given what's going on on Amazon I'm hoping stock becomes somwhat regular by next week, but God of War will probably keep that from happening even if they somehow manage ship more.

Wasn't really a jump. The ps3 was doing ~90k a week in NA through most of January, then started doing 80k consistantly throughout February. It seems like its sales are tied directly too how much Sony can ship (either 80 or 90k per week - not sure where that other 10k is going).
Here's the ps3's weekly sales in North America for the past two months:
Jan 2 - 132k
Jan 9th - 105k
Jan 16th - 79k
Jan 23rd - 89k
Jan 30th - 90k
Feb 6th - 79k
Feb 13th - 76k (lowest point)
Feb 20th - 82k
Feb 27th - 92k
So every week since the third week of January it has sold either ~90k or ~80k per week, give or take 2k in either direction. Not sure where that other 10k is going some weeks. Stockpiles for God of War?
Edit:
Though I suppose given the margin of error, such comparisons down to the single thousands place are kinda pointless.
PSP games are released weekly in japan and the rest of the world gets nothing....
PSP is DEAD outside of japan.
