I just beat the game with 61 stars from around, probably, 5-6 hours. Now I'm waiting for Super Mario Universe!

Update since last time, I went to spank around Bowser when I had 100 stars.
Now I have 117 stars and I've played around 20 hours.
There's only a couple of Collect Purple Coin-stars and the Daredevil star on the lava spire (it's reeally HARD)
