Forums - Sony Discussion - I can play my PS3 safely if I turn my internet connection off right?

All I have to do is turn off my router. I haven't played my PS3 since 1 and a half days ago.

Not sure, but I heard that offline consoles are affected as well.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

No, the problem is with the ARM cpu that controls the front panel, buttons, hardware clock and etc. This chip is powered even when the system is unplugged via battery. This chip is the one with a bug in the clock/calendar , and it causes a desynch between OS time and hardware time. Some people are theorizing that at 8pm central the problem will fix itself... we will see.

yes you can but some games like demon's souls wont play because of the trophies.

I live for the burn...and the sting of pleasure...
I live for the sword, the steel, and the gun...

- Wasteland - The Mission.

So games without trophies work?

If youre clock has been reset at ALL and you get the error code when trying to log on your systems already effected.

That's not how it works. It's not much related to trophies I think. Flow is working and it has trophies.

No, its nothing to do with psn. The only way that they are connected is that it wont connect to it, but the is nothing wrong with PSN, its the ps3 itself. I would just leave it.

LBP has trophies and works albeit only the offline stuff.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Flow used to have no trophies, that is probably why Pixel Junk Monsters also works.
