Just wanted to post that I'm having these issues and I don't have Heavy Rain or White Knight Chronicles.

i would think if it is because of psn when you leave it somehow corrupts something. but since people are saying it is happening to people who never had their PS3' connected to the net it has to be in the original software somehow. it could be a time date thing but still i would think it would have happened after midnight. it is a very weird situation.

February 28, 2010 - SCEA is looking into widespread reports tonight of PlayStation Network login errors causing many left unable to play games, and even lose trophies, on certain PlayStation 3 consoles.

"We're aware that many of you are having problems connecting to PSN, and yes, we're looking into it," the company said in a statement. "Stay tuned for updates."

Forum members and e-mail tipsters are saying this problem is primarily affecting owners of the older model of the PlayStation 3, and is even causing users to lose trophies previously earned. Many titles, such as Heavy Rain, are also now unplayable due to connection issues with Sony's servers.

One theory points to an issue with the console's internal calendar, which is reportedly resetting pre-slim models to 12/31/1999.

It's unclear at the moment how widespread this issue is.

I'm able to play these games offline just fine while NOT connected to the internet.... This doesn't make any sense!!

The date thing make sense, but I wander why as long as I was connected to PSN everything was fine. Maye while you are on PSN the PS3 doesnt use his internal calendar. Someone with a fat should tried to stay connected on PSN till tomorrow. Something sure is that, any PS3 Fat owner should NOT disconnect from PSN.

I have no idea but MW2 won't play SP. I am using wireless but i understand what your saying. And yes i have a 40GB phat.
