Whats this talk about iron sights? I dont understand a thing.

And the 4x scope, does it compensate recoil??? (Akdov u made it sound like it does)

And what is UMP and LMG?

Iron sights is when you take aim without a red dot sight, and you use that aim-thingie built onto the gun.

And I don't remember what UMP is, but LMG is light machinegun, which is what medics use by default.

That's about as helpful as I can be

Ok. I have tried around with those but i dont know what works best. Red dot doesnt seem to help me much. Not the 4x either.

Actually whatever I use my shots seldom hit. I just plain suck. :/

Did you get the Accuracy specializations? Those really help, as it reduces recoil by A LOT. I tried the UMP+Red Dot without the Accuracy vs UMP-Red Dot (ironsight) with Accuracy and wow, what a difference.

I use Accuracy plus for Medic, Assault, and Engineer infact. The only class I don't use is Recon with my SVU 4x Scope Magnum Ammo, as that doesn't need any more accuracy.

You're using so many terms that are confusing to me lol. Accurazy specializations? Arent those 'red dot' and '4x'?

What is UMP?

"UMP+Red Dot without the Accuracy vs UMP-Red Dot (ironsight) with Accuracy" - ??? Im lost.

"Accuracy plus for Medic, Assault, and Engineer infact" - huh? What is "Accuracy plus"?

The accuracy specilizations you get for Assault, Medic, and Engineer. They should show a gun with a plus sign underneath. Keep leveling up, get that, and you're off.

My combinations for you:

Assault:

AN-94+4x Scope+Accuracy (use Magnum/Armor if you don't have that yet)

Medic:

M249 SAW+Red Dot+Magnum

Once you get the Accuracy specilization

M249 SAW+4x Scope+Accuracy

Engineer:

AKS-74U+Red Dot+Magnum

If you don't have AKS yet use any gun you want. I personally liked the 9A91 for headshots

Recon:

T-88+4x Scope+Magnum

Once you get SVU, replace T-88 with it.

I will study this more deeply when I get home, but with "accuracy" do u mean the spec that has a description something like "greatly increases the handling of the gun".

I mostly play Assault. U mean I should use the AN-94 instead of the M16?

And didn't u yesterday say the M60 was over-powered, so why do u now suggest the M249 SAW for me then lol?

The M60 is overpowered, but in the sense that it can be used by anybody with moderate success.

The M249 has HUGE rate of fire and a decent accuracy. It's weakness is only at very long range, and I commensate for that weakness with the accuracy specialization and 4x scope. With this, I can literally saw through the enemy. It is an absolute beast, I feel like Diomedes or even a god with it. It truly does feel awe some.

And yes, use the AN-94 WITH the Accuracy Specilization and 4x scope. You'll go "Pew pew pew" and just get headshot after headshot. I'll make you a quick video of each combo if you want soon. I just need to finish my readings and make sure I have enough time for breakfast and shower.

Sorry im repeating but "accuracy" = spec described as "greatly increases the handling of the gun" right?

Huge thanks for all ur advice Akvod!

I am so excited now, can't wait to get home and try all those weapon combos. And if you make that video I almost imagine I can even become a 1.0 K/D player lol.

Yup

Try having a look at this site.  http://battlefieldbadass.com

It lists all weapons/unlocks.  In the case of your example you say "I'm lost" http://battlefieldbadass.com/equipment/engineer/

UMP is the UMP-45, the last gun you unlock as engineer.  Red Dot is the red dot scope you can unlock for the spec 1 slot.  Ironsights are a gun without any added scope, you just look down the default barrel of the gun.  Accuracy plus he means "Marksmen SMG Training", the symbol has a plus next the gun, its a spec 2 unlock.

Every class has a similar upgrade except Recon who don't need it.  It reduces recoil.

edit: In the case of shotguns, the + symbol reflects extra ammo in the gun barrel, so instead of for example 4 shots before a reload its 8.

Ok thanks. That gun "+" icon thing, it's an upgrade i have to actively choose from a drop-down list within the game, right? Is it a column to the far right? ( next furthest, left from the vehicle-upgrades menu?)

What was in the Dr. Pepper DLC that got delayed?

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

I've improved a lot after the advice I got from here Friday afternoon!

This weekend so far I got 296 kills and 286 deaths almost entirely playing Assault with the AN-94 + 4x Scope + Accuracy combo.

I am enjoying the game again. A lot.

Anyone close to getting all the patches/pins? I already got all the pins, and a lot the patches.

Finally got all the achievements for this game. Last one was the 20 destruction 2.0 kills. Pretty proud of myself. Now I can just play the game to get the rest of the pins and insignias... and dogtags of course.

Which reminds me, how many dogtags do people have? I'm at 167 if my memory is correct

Think 198 for me.  Though I have a friend that is close to 500 haha.

Some friends IRL gifted me the game so I couldn't really say no.

God I hate levelling systems so fucking bad. Spent the first 4 hours of playing the game as an engineer on the sides and stabbing people. I have 47 dog tags and the knife has twice as many kills as the nearest gun. About 1/5th of all my kills has been with a knife because it's the only thing that doesnt such in this levelling system. Game started to suck a lot less once I got a scope for my machine guns and the AK as well as the AT Mines. Now I usually end up with something like 20/30 and about 2000 points per game. I still don't understand why they jsut dont give the tools to everyone right off the bat.... just a horrible horrible system.

P.S. I'm under Veiam (maiev backwards for WC players) and I wouldn't mind pairing with someone. I make a killer tech.

PPS. What is the difference between bronze and silver dog tags?

Edit: What exactly does it mean if your weapons have a star next to them?

Really? I abhor the knife, it's unreliable. I've stabbed people behind and they would simply turn around and shoot me. I prefer to simply shoot a guy instead of selfishly going for a knife and letting a friendly getting killed.

The iron sights are fine, the red dot does nothing as it doesn't zoom, it's only a visual aid.

I agree that they should have given tools at the very beginning (Medkit, ammobox, etc) as that will encourage people to play their support roles, but I disagree about your opinion on the leveling system (but we already argued about that in another thread and we couldn't come to an agreement).

I'm guessing you're playing on the PC? Just want to make sure before I add you on the list. Slimebeast is currently playing right now.

Bronze tags are lower level players (don't know what level range), silver is medium, I'm assuming there will be a gold one for higher ups.

If your weapon has a star next to them it means you had a certain ammount of kills.

I really like the leveling, stars, and patches system as it encourages players to go through all the guns, not just play the same one gun. The bronze star patch has made me play with every gun, pistol, explosive, etc and I now have a better understanding of the up's and downs of each gun.

The final weapon unlocks aren't that great, and no gun is completely superior (although there are a few guns that do seem a bit overpowered, but again, nothing godly).

I prefer the AN-94 rather than the M16.

I prefer the M249 SAW rather than the M60 or MG3

I prefer the SVU rather than the M95

I prefer the UMP (which is a final gun) without any scope, or AKS-74U with the 4x scope.
