Forums - Sony Discussion - PS3 developers compete to push the console to new heights.

Infamous -> Funky invered L/R look.

Killzone 2 -> Higher latency, funny controls.

Just picked these two, because it shows you know very little.

Infamous, you go to the options menu and you can check or uncheck inverted horizontal. Am I blowing your mind?

KZ2, this was design choice, to give the character weight because of all the gear he carried. An update allows you to change this setting and makes the character more twitch friendly.

And those other points you bring up are silly and nitpicking. You may like local multiplay and coop, but I could care less.

I want an epic campaign with cutting edge gameplay and graphics and that is where the PS3 is surpassing the 360.

If you are a gamer you are simply hurting your self by having such a myopic view; leave the war to the flamers and start gaming. Wake up

Fuck... I'm dead!

I actually give SONY more credit for stuff like LBP and flower.. now those are titles that break away from the usual monotony of gaming genres...

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

owner of : atari 2600, commodore 64, NES,gameboy,atari lynx, genesis, saturn,neogeo,DC,PS2,GC,X360, Wii

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:

a. a AAA 3D sonic title

b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"

c. redesgined PS controller

d. SEGA back in the console business

e. M$ out of the OS business

Resistance 2 does not belong on that list...

Come on dude! Good movies are all about building up suspense using specific scenes that all have a certain purpose behind them. Sure Uncharted 2 is completely linear and only has one single path to go through even in War-torn Nepal, but that's the games way of progressing through it's incredibly narrative. It's supposed to give you a movie-like experience through that linear approach. Of course, Uncharted 2's maps are not as complex as say Metal Gear Solid 4s, but it's just as suspenseful.

Infamous sets the controls automatically by your Actions at the beginning of the game. For Example it tells you to look UP to the Helicopter.

but you still can change them in the options Screen if you don't like your own settings.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

Some more worthy mentions could include:

LittleBigPlanet - User created content.
Gran Turismo 5 - Replays of real events / amount and detail of car models.
Warhawk - Combined air and ground battles.
Super Stardust HD - Amount of colliding things on screen, soon 120 FPS stereoscopic 3D.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

PS3 vs 360 sales

OMG! I just checked the list again and... How could you forget GT5? No really, how could you?

It was the first game that came to my mind when I read the topic.

updated: 14.01.2012

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

How so? They are actually very easy to use.

Resistance 2 does not have 60 player online campaign, it has 8 max.

Killzone 2 -"Ground breaking gameplay" <-- LOL!!!!! It didnt do shit new and the game is up there with Gears 2.

UC2 - Did nothing special

MAG- Again its not a campaign, Campaign often involves a shitty half ass story placed around some guys family dieing and him going ape shit crazy, or he saves the world.

Heavy Rain- First of its kind.

GoW3- What makes this game "good"

Im glad they are doing new things, but you cant just say every PS3 exclusive does new things.
