Forums - Microsoft Discussion - RUMOR: Natal going to be really expensive!

I hope you are wrong. Natal is supposed to be priced at an affordable price to help 360 console sales push through the roof and outsell the PS3 in sales. Outselling the PS3 is Microsoft's main objective this generation in regards to the 360. We all know you have failed if your console system finishes in last place. Microsoft had Sony in their sights and are doing whatever it takes for the 360 to outsell the PS3.

If Natal is expensive it will just be another failure of an add on and join the HD DVD and all those Sega add ons as epic failures. If Microsoft finishes last place that will be it. No third XBox console. Outselling Sony means everything to Microsoft.

At least try to hide your Fan-boyism a little, Its quite sickening in its current etteration, I havent seen one objective post from you.  Maybe its time to take those Fan-boy goggles off

I think its interesting, and price isnt really an issue if theres quality to it. But quality in this matter usually transfers to games.. we need to see more games. If its 100USD and all you get are these casual games we've seen so far im not touching it.

E3 should be the venue where they announce all of this i think. Bring it!

I think for Natal to perform even HALF the things boasted in the demonstration videos at E3, it would have to be pretty expensive. My guess is $100 minimum.

Well they knocked a processor off citing costs.. so im guessing they have their cost target now.. which shd be below $99 at most.. Im gonna say it will be arnd $70. Although that is a low price..

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:

a. a AAA 3D sonic title

b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"

c. redesgined PS controller

d. SEGA back in the console business

e. M$ out of the OS business

Let's hope it's not expensive, otherwise Microsoft is screwed.

Lately you're painting MS desperate quite often: what made you change your mind?

MS is out to make money: NATAL has been in the news, and will sell a lot of units regardless of price. They will price it to make a fat little profit, at least at launch.

You mean like nintendo does :)

It wont be a high price.. they've been bubbly with their recent windows7 profits so Im guessing they can afford a lower price than expected.

I don't think it will cost a lot, but it will get them a profit.

Hell my friend just called MS and they now want $15 to ship a transfer cable to him when he bought his recent Elite (he bought the core unit 4+ years ago and It's finally crapping out, so he's buying a elite).

They also no longer ship out the free box/coffins for your RROD 360.

The hard drive is over priced. You can get a 1TB for $100 or less at a retail store for the PC, yet MS is charging much more then that for a simple 120 gig HD for the 360.

The wireless adaptor is $100ish for the new N one, when it should be priced at $50 or $60 at the most.

I think MS is more geared towards profit now and want to eliminate their losses. I think Natal however will be priced as cheap as possible to get people to buy them and hopefully other Natal games.

It's just that simple.
