Pachter or not it's a true statement. Accessible, fun, quality games. Although the more mainstream audience has a different opinion of quality than the core audience.

Zack & Wiki is a great game but not one with mainstream appeal. Just Dance is a success because it nails accessible fun. Havn't played it myself so I can't comment on quality but judging from how owners defend it, it obviously achieved what it set out to do - in spades.

Pachter can't be more right in the second part.

Third parties have nobody to blame but their selves for not putting an effort to create a fully fleshed out Wii game.

I just need to echo everyone else's comments here; it's refreshing to see a more 'independent' player step up and lay the blame for poor 3rd party sales on the 3rd party developers...That's not to say that there haven't been disappointments for legitimately 'quality' 3rd party games, but I would say that's probably true of all consoles throughout video game history, but there's a HELL of a lot of the 'shovelware' out there too. And Pachter is right - they thought they could get away with throwing 'party' in the title and it would sell (try doing a search on here for wii games with the word 'party' in the title. The number is almost personally offensive to me, lol. And yes, Nintendo's 1st party games are obviously very high quality, and yes, the sales dwarf those of the 3rd parties, but that's not Nintendo's fault for putting out good games...
