Nice collection. I own everything except Robin Hobb books and Dirk Gently. :)

I'm not going to let this thread die off Come on guys!!Share your books with us!

Robin Hobb writes great high fantasy novels and Dirk Gently is very similar to the Hitchhikers series. Which isn't surprising since its written by the same person.

Just finished The Road. I believe it was mentioned earlier, however, I couldn't recommend it enough.

I should be start another book of Cormac McCarthy's soon - All the Pretty Horses once I finish up this teaching book I'm reading at the moment. I'm really looking forward to it. I really, really enjoyed The Road.

I do enjoy reading the odd science book as well - Greene and Dawkins especially.

I've also picked up quick a few classics that I hadn't yet read for really cheap a few weeks back, among them: Animal Farm, Crime and Punishment being my two most anticipated.

Great thread though. Some of these recommendations have sparked my interest.

By the way, I have a difficult time getting into Science Fiction... could anyone recommend a novel that acts as a good introduction to the series? Light. Not too long or expansive. Just really accessible. Thanks.

Try Foundation, by Isaac Asimov, it's a connection of 5 stories linked together, each one is the continuation of the previous, it's not long (less than 200 pages), and not very complex and easy to read, but still one of the best books you can ever read

Noted. I'll be sure to look it up. Thanks.

Currently reading Dante's Divine Comedy.... Didn't even know that it was a poem, and I never expected it that good.

There are so many.

But my favourite book of all time would have to be The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Dont remember if Ive mentioned it before ,but if any of you are fans of fantasy you should read The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Great story and The ending is incredible
