can't pirated copies install a pirated version of the DLC? (just saying...)

Also helps against piracy because then pirated copies still have to buy this voucher thing if they want any DLC on 360.

i have seen cracked xbox360 DLC on the net just few days ago, i doubt it will help against piracy.

Yeah, this is an attempt to either curb used game sales, or at least attempt to make at least some profit from used game sales.  They might be pushing used game buyers to piracy though :)

Sorry, but this is a jerk thing to do. This is not a reward for dedicated fans-- this is an attempt to screw over a portion of the fan base. $15 for two maps if I buy used? Ridiculous.

How many people who buy used are going to actually know about this-- I'd bet not many. Most people will probably buy the game and later realize that EA has held back content. This will only upset customers.

The dedicated fans already pre-ordered the Limited Edition.

$70 used ($15 DLC-5 discount) vs $60 new.

And it's not held back content, as it was never on the disc. It's DLC, it's something completely extra.

Would you simply be happy if EA made it so that everyone had to pay $15 for the DLC? Way to try to drag everyone down with you, since you're too cheap to buy a game new and support DICE.

It's a GIFT, that they're giving to those who aren't willing to stuff Gamestop's coffers so that they can give "Power to the player".

Even DLC that isn't disc based?  I'd say the vast majority of pirates on 360 just have their DVD drive modded, not anything else, so any DLC that isn't disc based would not be usable to most pirates.

How? It's not as if you're being deprived of content that was already there (although doing so is NOT a new thing. Depriving Online for non-CD key owners has been used in PC games). You're upset about the fact that you're not getting a GIFT, for free. Something completely extra.

Like I said in the "Should Used Owners Be Punished Thread", this is a prime example of used owners, not being PUNISHED, but loyal and dedicated fans being REWARDED.

Quit whining about non-existent entitlements.

Holy shi......

you made all that from my post? , i never said anything against buying new games and i never whined about it. man, relax.....!

Because of a misguided sense of entitlement? And I hope The Pro simply bans those consoles that do pirate the game.

You said that those who bought used games were kicked in the balls, meaning you believed that was EA did was unfair. I'm telling you it's not unfair, because EA isn't entitled to give Used buyers something EXTRA.

That's a completely meaningless distinction.

For all you know it could of been held off the disc to be DLC.

nah,  im just meaning that whoever buy it used will have to get that money he saved back to EA if he wants the full game

IE a kick to the balls

I personally think the whole used games business is absolute BS. Especially with the 200-500% markup they have after purchasing the game form seller.
It makes the developer lose money on a possible sale, screws the seller for having to sell a game for only 10 buyer and screws the buyer for them having to pay 50 bucks for a game that the store only had to pay 10 for.
This is why EA games go down in price as fast as they do lately. So that the recently reduced price is lower or equal to used game price. That way the developer still gets at least some money out of the game as well as the distributor.
And if you read the OP carefully, The voucher says for the DLC and other updates. I read this as meaning you will get the first map pack and other DLC completely free.

I see no problem with this.
