Let's see...XBL is $50 a year, and MORE people are using it then the FREE PSN...lol...seems like they are NOT equal.

No.

Excluding PSP numbers......still no

^This right here

As the PSN numbers also count accounts made online and used on PS forums and also since everyone has a psn account for everyday of the year....it easily has more people using it.

I realize your sarcasm...but alas, you're still wrong. I'll have to find the quote, but I've seen it from both Microsoft and Sony's camp. Guys from Sony have said that 75-80% of PS3s are connected to PSN (which is easy because it's free), and guys from Microsoft said that 50-60% of 360s are connected to XBL. Do the math.

Edit: Found the most recent articles, they're a little old....but do you think the percentages changed that much?

Who care if it includes PSP, its still PSN which heruamon said was smaller than xbox live, which is wrong. If he said 360 owners have more online player than the ps3 then maybe his point would stand.

2 platforms vs 1.

Might as well include Silver or

PS3 numbers vs XBL Gold numbers would be a fair comparison.

Yes, thats what I saying... if he said 360 owners playing more online then ps3 then he may have a point

2 platforms vs 1, so what its still PSN, stop trying to defend what he was saying, you know PSN has more users than xbox live even if it included silver. end of

So windows Mobiles haves their own games that run on xbox live that they can share content between? didnt think so, your just sounding silly now, what ever platform its on psp or ps3 it still uses Psn which ever way you put it has and will always have a bigger user base that xbox live, Yes its probably is because its free, im not saying either s better than the other, I am just stating that the bloke who said there are more user on xboxlive than PSN is wrong, and you know it.

I have played a lot on XBL, and PSN, I have to say now , I have switched everything to PSN not just because its free, but because its as good as XBL, and in my opinion on large games PSN runs with no lag , and then the free thing is really nice. I have love for both, but PSN is great, my friends all have blutooth, I wounder if all the PSN players realize there cell phone blutooth pieces work great with the PS3

That's not a problem with PSN, but with Sony not including it with a purchase of a PS3.

I think it's good. Not everybody is into multiplayer and therefore needs a mike.

That's like saying Sony should have saved money and not included wireless in the console... after all, not everyone wants to go online.

The more peripherals included in a console purchase, the higher likelyhood of their use. To round out their "online experience" that they wanted to push so much, a microphone should have come with the console. After all, isn't their tagline "It does everything."?

I would also like to add Sony included everything else in the console why not add a cheap $5 mic?

That is pretty much my point. It's not as if a mic adds $50 to the console price. They're cheap. I'm sure they could have rigged a USB mic that plugs into the controller rather easily.

While some USB mics work with the ps3, they all have to be plugged into the console itself.

I agree with Akvod. I think a lot of mics would just end up on ebay if Sony bundled a mic with the ps3. Not everyone does online multiplayer, and even among those that do, some are perfectly content being mute. There were very few people in Warhawk who used voice chat outside VGC matches. I would be delighted if I could find a game with 2-3 other people using headsets on a team of 12. And that's in a game that was available bundled with a headset.

I haven't done a lot of online gaming on xbl, but from my understanding some people set it so they only voice chat with people on their friends list. Couldn't that be as bad as the ps3 situation considering they have anyone not on their friends list forcibly muted?

Demon's Souls Official Thread  | Currently playing: Left 4 Dead 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Magicka

All to one's own opinion. In mine, i say they're "egalitarian" lol. I prefer free over paying more then i already have already with my internet. Sure it may only be $50 a yr (or a little over $4 a month) but it all adds up and thats like an extra game a year. With the huge line ups this year i could use another game =)

But i just hope to those that pay for XBL find the fundings well worth it.
