I'll see what the "official" numbers look like before accepting the PS3/Wii order of sales. It's not unheard of for VGC to be different to Famitsu between Wii and PS3 when numbers are this close. Sill I pretty much expect PS3 to only outsell Wii on weeks where there is a significant PS3 release and nothing particularly big for Wii. At least until there is some sort of game changer in favour of PS3, which at this point is only really price cuts (GT5 being a short term lifter of sales, but not a game changer IMO).

I forget now, is there no AE for 360, or did it just not chart?

Actually there's a thing called Tourne, and AMAZON pre orders are off the charts..

the 250GB ps3 coming out in a month or so is also bundled with it, and that's currently the top sell on amazon japan.. ofcourse Amazon really only represent about 2-3% of the complete gaming market, but still.. its an interesting trend on that site.

I believe Tourne will be a system seller though

I think PS3 and Wii are going to have pretty much a neck and neck race from here on out in Japan give er take a few weeks, with Wii maybe gaining a slight edge.

Unfortunately for Sony though, The PS3 is already over 5 million behind in Japan, so the long term battle is all but over anyway.

Would have been surprising if PS3 didn't top Wii this week, what with the new 250 GB sku and the RE5 rerelease, but it was still very close

On the other hand RE5Gold did fantastic. They should've done a 360 release, it'd have probably sold another ~30k.

now all they need to do is sell another 500 each week for over a year they will get 30k
