99 Red Balloon by Goldfinger (cover of Nena)
Close To You by The Getup Kids (cover of The Cure)
No Ordinary Love by The Deftones (cover of Sade, although it's a close one imo)
I Don't Like Monday's by Tori Amos (cover of The Boomtown Rats).
Toxic by Local H (Cover of Britney Spears)
Wannabe by Zebrahead (Cover of Spice Girls)

On the other end of the spectrum, the worst covers I've ever heard are
Behind Blue Eyes by Limp Bizkit (attempt at Pink Floyd)

Also, I'm not too partial to the remake of We Are The World, just because you fill a studio with today's biggest stars doesn't mean they can really compete with the older stars from the original. Also, I hate the stupid voice distortion by Lil Wayne, T-Pain and 1 other guy in the song. It's supposed to sound sincere and not ultra polished.

I also dont like the new version of we are the world, the raping and the bad quality of singers makes it pale compared to the first one, some guys singing with some sucky electronic efects or kids like justin beiber or miley cyrus just make it bad quality and an attemp to get to younger people, which in fact is a good thing considering the goal, but musically speaking it doesnt come close.

August Burns Red cover of " Baby one more time" by Britney Spears.

It's just plain awesome.

All Along the Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix, much prefer it to the original version by Bob Dylan

All the Vanilla Fudge stuff.

oh, almost forgot, for WORST ever covers, see the new version of Everbody Hurts in the charts atm, the original by R.E.M is one of my fave songs, the new version, is dreadful, and thats being polite, if you want to help haiti, donate to a charity, dont buy that musical excrement.

Off the top of my head, Erasure's Take a Chance on Me over Abba's, and Cocker's With a Little Help From My Friends over the Beatles'. Also, Jules' Mad World over Tears For Fears'.

Edit: Oh yeah, and Dynamite Hack's Boyz in the Hood! :)  Heh.

I haven't heard your cover version, but this version beats every other, I guarantee it.

And I am in no way a fan of Umbrella (yes, Rihanna's), but this cover of it is possibly the greatest song of all time
