Forums - Sony - God of War 3 Native 1080i?

I was just looking at the cover of god of war on the gamestop's website.

http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/PopBackofbox.aspx?Product_ID=1499

It says the resolution is 1080i. Maybe the native resolution is 1080i? also why isn't 1080p in the box?

I hope not
I'd rather have 720p than 1080i

Yes 1080i is worse than 720p because you only have 540 interlaced line on the T.v. screen at one time.

It supports both 720p and 1080i just like Uncharted.

This 1080i mode is helpful for very old 1080i HDTVs, so the image does not upscale from 480p to 1080i.

The big number in red is 1080 because honestly most people just know 1080=good. They don't know that p>i. Native is 720p.

It's Native is 720p.

4 ≈ One

It's in 720p, but it supports 1080i

no sane person would try to make it in native 1080i

Isn't a 1080i signal deinterlaced and displayed in 1080p on capable TVs?
