Killzone 3 due this Christmas?

Helghast to take on the Master Chief

Microsoft are not the only platform holder planning some big releases for this year's festive season.

 

Sources close to Sony have mooted Killzone 3 for a Christmas release.

Also, following on from this year's firmware updates and the release of Sony's new motion controller, Killzone 3 will support both 3D and motion controls.

Killzone 3 will apparently join the list of high profile titles such as Heavy Rain and LittleBigPlanet to boast motion controller support.

We have asked Sony Computer Entertainment Europe for an official response but have yet to receive a reply.

There are rumors popping up about this left and right.

On the one hand, I'm like, "Yay! Killzone!"

On the other, I'm worried that two years is too short a time in which to make a proper sequel.

Though Naughty Dog managed to pull it off with resounding success, but most studios aren't like Naughty Dog, and I'd much prefer something the level of Uncharted > Uncharted 2 than Modern Warfare > Modern Warfare 2.

And I doubt Killzone will support motion controls, but if it does, they better disable them in multiplayer. It would make the game totally unbalanced if two control schemes were offered.

      i am  100 percent sure if killzone 3  would use   motion controller     it would only be the single player only       i  doubt sony would want to ruin the  mutilplayer by adding it online

@dsister44: Kind of, yes.

A release this Christmas for KZ3 is possible,KZ2 was already finished on Nov 2008, they just delayed because of Resistance 2 released on November, they would have shot themselves in the foot.
Then remember that Uncharted 2 was done in 18 months, you just have to calculate, if Killzone 3 is released this Christmas, it means that it was done un 24/26 months (at least 20), it's more than enough for Guerilla.
