Forums - Microsoft Discussion - MS: 'The Pro' XBL Mod 'Followed Protocol'

haven't played the game on 360 but I must say I've never run into anything close to this on PSN. Majority of the cussing is goodnatured joking. Botched a search and destroy game the other day and someone said I sucked, thats about the worst I've run into haha.

No matter how you or business communication courses think a situation like this should be handled the truth is judging by most of the comments on youtube

^^^ Wonders never cease...as will trolls.

I had a long response typed up, then I remembered I should not feed the trolls.

My opening line was something like "Too bad they didn't teach you grammar in your 'Business Communications' course"

Oops, I fed him didn't I?

is this school? business communication involves verbal communication not writing so grammar wouldnt be needed right? and im not feeding or being a troll. maybe when youre older youll understand business perspectives

Yeah, grammar isn't needed for verbal communication.

My mistake, sorry.

and some of those rational adults are even saying 'the pro could of handle it better' and thats what im saying as well. im not saying the kid doesnt deserve to be banned and the pro needs to be fired. im saying the pro should of handle it better and use words that didnt instigate a negative response especially to a little kid. you have to know how to talk to a little kid to not get him/her wild up.

Screw Natal, Microsoft needs to come up with a device where the Moderator can reach through the screen and b****-slap kids like that :P

OK, maybe that's too unrealistic, maybe just send an electric charge through the controller :)  Not enough to kill him, just enough to render him unconscious for a bit.

The above was a JOKE - but you gotta admit, that would be friggin cool ;)

it really doesnt. a customer service employee deals with customers verbally. if a customer complains about a failure ps3. i can write it like this. "teh ps3 is st8ght bricked" as long as i can pass that MESSAGE to my supervisor it doesnt matter how i write it. of course i do not write like that. im just trying to give an example that as long as i can pass a verbal message to my superviser it doesnt matter how i write it down. also every verbal communication with a customer service rep is recorded and thats how 99.9% of supervisors get the message

well im off to bed now its 3am. bye everyone

Last time I checked you need to be 18 to buy a rated M game...heck to set up xbox live I think its the same case. I doubt he is a kid...He is atleast 18*imho from his voice* and sure...you might disagree with how the mod talked...but I doubt it you even listened to the real version of the vid..and IMHO I doubt you even care too.

i watch both the unedited and edited versions of the video and have to revoke what i said. the pro instigated a negative response from that kid. the pro could of handle it more maturely like a customer service employee would do to an angry customer. the pro also said he would ban every xbox console the kid logs into with that account. so that means the pro would ban the console of innocent friends of 'loud mouth kid' who dont know what he did but let him use their console. the pro also kept using the word "shut-up" that would get you fired or suspended if an employee said that to a angry or non-angry customer

Im sure your supervisor would be a LITTLE understanding if that -Customer- Said he fucked your grand mother through a wall, or whatever that shit he spued, Plus the -customer- sounds like a little kid, adults need to assume an  athority role with little punks like that, problem with society now is if The Pro did call the kids parents His dad would probably threaten to fuck someones sister/mom/grams/aunt/.

This kid needs to be grounded for a few months and his xbox taken away..

Oh well at least SOMEONE is disciplining these kids, even if it is a faceless corporation.

no you cant i took business communication. an angry customer can say "i effed your wife, i slapped your daughter, i jizz on your daughter face" and curse at you all they want. what a train employee (customer service employee) is suppose to do is keep their composure address the original situation, try to calm the customer, and if the customer gets more hostile they are suppose to hang-up politely and show their superviser the audio recording of the conversation. acting in any other manner would get the employee in trouble. and the pro could of handle this situation bettter without getting a negative response from that kid and still disciplining and controlling the situation.

the way i would of handle it is by, laughing it off (the first insult), if he continues give a warning, if he still proceeds ban him without saying anything. if he has questions ill answer them if polite if not ill ignore it or have the message sent to my surperior

for those who dont know. customer service representitives deal with customers. mods deal with users they are not to different and the same rules aplly believe it or not.

LOL. You've got it way, way wrong. When customers get abusive like that, 99.9% of companies cut them off entirely. "The customer is always right" is a complete fantasy that goes out the window right quick when they start cursing at you and making threats.

I missed the part in business communication, where you get berated with f-bombs by a minor, and you're supposed to take it. Or that they are USING KNOW cheats, and bragging about it. Sorry, but I'll take the "bad" business practices of thepro, and say ban the little fuckers of xbl.
