Everytime I hear the music of Link to the Past i feel like shedding a tear. It reminds me of a certain time in my life. It also reminds me of the shear joy of playing that game for the first time.

The end of Okami did it for me, though that wasn't really sadness, just the sort of general heart-warmingness that the end of that game had in such profusion.

For a similar reason, i almost cried for Jill & Lethe's A-rank support conversation in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

In Fire Emblem (FE7, I mean) in Hector mode, when you have an A Support with Lyndis (maybe Eliwood, but it definitely happens with Lyndis - I had a B with Eliwood so that may have affected things too), there's a special conversation branch in the final battle (maybe earlier, again this is just where I saw it) where Hector is still reeling over Uther's death, and refuses to forgive Oswin. Eliwood convinces him to speak to Oswin again, and Hector and Oswin are reconciled.

When Hector and Lyndis speak, though, it is about his grieving - I don't want to relay the conversation itself because it is very good, but it ties back into an earlier conversation they had concerning Hector and Lyndis and their mourning over past losses.

I got pretty choked up over their little convo there.

Fire Emblem has good writing.

Oh yea Fire Emblem, I somehow love reading what happens to everyone after you finish it. Along with some supports, it makes it pretty fun, haha.

But thats complete opposite of this thread, since theres not much sad there.

Yeah, the ending of David Tennant's stint as The Doctor was heartbreaking. :(
