How is Pikmin overrated? It gets no sales and its not a Nintendo fan favorite!

Pikmin 2 was good but I'm not really expecting the next Pikmin. I don't see it being much different.

I think I would go with
1 - Zelda
2 - Mario
3 - Fire Emblem

But I feel pretty bad cause I never ever played a Pokemon game and it is not appealing to me. Call it prejudice or whatever.
Am I really losing something?

Yes, If its your first pokemon game. I reccomand you start with Soul silver if your interested
