Star Ocean on PS3 has special features and the japan synchro - 1 Blu Ray! On 360 more. Forza to.

And Lost Planet 2 was cuttet. This say capcom in the last week. And Uncharted 2/Metal Gear Solid 4 is not possible on Xbox.

 

What is your opinion, is the DVD a problem for the games developer? I think: Yes =(

it is not so good. I mean..i have a PlayStation 3 with Blu Ray =) But it is sad for only 360 gamer, i think =( this is sad. Blu Ray is the future, Microsoft. Do it, MS.

Geee...a majority of the complianers are Japanese developers...I'm shocked...lol....NOT!.  Of course it would be nicer to have a bigger disc space...duh...but I'll put Gears of War 2 again anything these guys have put out, or Mass Effect, and 2 disc at max was all that was needed.

Br 2x is not too slow. Gow3, Burnout Paradise, Dead Space, FF XIII, Uncharted 2, KZ2 all have no install. Developers just need to learn to optimize their code. Sure 4x or even 8x would be nice, but hey, Imagine the price of the drives.

seems to me they all have their ups and downs

not alway's depends on the developer, his skill, what game engine they use, what APi's they have access to at the development house. and they Experience and the time spent with working with the hardware. etc.

Hey...here's a novel idea...get urself a 250 GB and install all games to your HDD...bam...no more disc swapping problems...it's amazing how that works out...and it seems to be THE solution for a majority of PS3 games.

yea it's not that expensive anymore  if it was just a BD ROM in late  2006 early 2007 a PC BD ROM 6 X ran $200.00+

less than $200.00 8x and that's also for a burner

i know, i "canned" IE: took out the can in the xbox360's harddrive enclosure an many time's upgraded my friend's xbox size of drive, it's kind of what i had hoped microsoft would have done in the first place. the drive can is pretty close to anyother hardrive enclosure in like laptops or like the PS3 hardrive can. well ps3's hardrive tray..

I don't see a problem with multiply dvds, so no, dvd is not a problem. Blu ray may be more convenient.

dvd is a problem for multi-platform games on ps3 and 360 because developers will not utilize all they can out of the ps3's larger storage. so essentially the ps3 is being limited by the 360 in some cases. what sony needs to do more is pay for some extra content when they know the 360 dvd will be full and then they can expand off of the blu ray like they did with the new batman game

however ps3 blu ray exclusives look amazing
