Beef up your Wii games collection. Your bunch of Wii games you can buy will last you longer than 1 PS3 game.

Well actually I'm 16. I just don't have a job or any income. I do chores and stuff but I don't get allowance or anything so I only get money on my birthday and for Christmas.

It's hard to decide because I really want some of the upcoming wii games like Red Steel 2, Monster Hunter Tri, Fragile, ect. But I also really want to play some PS3 games like Valkyria Chronicles. But If I get a PS3 I would only be able to get one game with it (which would probably be Valkyria Chronicles) and wont be able to get anymore games until Christmas.

I also have a DS so if anyone has good DS recommendations that are not too expensive would be great, I barely have any DS games. Just Pokemon Platinum, Mario and Luigi Bower's Inside Story, New Super Mario Bros, KH 358/2, Mario Kart DS and acouple more.

The PS3 isn't going anywhere. I would pick up a few Wii/DS games and save the rest. Maybe you can try to get a job this summer to get some money to put towards a PS3 and some games?

I really don't see the point in investing in second console unless you can buy 4 or 5 games for it. With limited funds, you are probably better off expanding your Wii/DS libraries.

Get MGS4 or Valkyria Chronicles. Those are games that make it beyond worth it.

In the future, put this in the gaming section.

Anyways, it depends on what kinds of games you like. If you are questioning whether you want a PS3 or not, you probably shouldn't buy one.

PS3 + Valkyria Chronicles. i really dont think you would regret it.
By Christmas time I'm sure you could get lots of really big PS3 hits for less than they cost now... and who knows what might come out for Christmas time. but at least by then you would have two systems.

i know your dilemma though, i might be an adult but i'm unemployed so it's a problem. i want the DS XL and i want lots of PS3 games coming out this year.

The first Bad Company isn't bad either, only 20 bucks.

Going for the ps3 would be your best bet, if you have wi-fi, in this case you could try many demos and judge yourself on what you want and dont want. 

however if there are some wii games you want now, get those instead, if not broaden Your horizons.

If money is tight, getting new hardware isn't a good idea in my opinion. Buy more games for the systems you have. 300$ for a PS3 can get you at least 10 games if you look carefully.
Then, when you have a job later, buy yourself a PS4 or whatever is out at that time.
When I was 16 I only had 1 modern gaming machine (N64), because I couldn't afford both (PS1).
