wow even without wii sports and wii play the wii has more software sold

I may be wrong but hasn't wii's Americas sales been greater than PS3's global sale for same time and the PS3 has actually, in a sense, caught up?

I mean, PS3 sold 171k (ww) and wii sold 170k (Americas) for the week ending 6 Feb. Not the greatest example actually, anyone know what previous weeks were like?

haha yeah that's why Wii has already topped 360 in America for number of third party games (units) sold, and it did that worldwide over a year before that, even with 360's crazy attach rate and coming out a year sooner. You see explosive sales on PS3 and 360 but the steady racer finishes first, plus that all leads to the danger that if you make an expensive game and it doesn't sell crazy high numbers early it probably won't and studios close down sadly.
