At this point I'm going to ignore the overused "Final Fantasy was originally a Nintendo franchise." Instead, I will say this..... Nintendo has more Final Fantasy games on their platforms than Sony platforms! Now, how's that for a fun fact! |
Sony has the better FF's on their console. Hows THAT!
Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.
"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
I would imagine that Sony will have their own adverts for the game to promote the PS3 version, if they do not then i would be shocked and appalled at that!

I don't think you can say they're smart until we see how well the game actually sells on the 360. One can only imagine how much $$$ they spent on marketing this as well as securing exclusivity of a bundle in NA. If the game doesn't at least sell a couple million copies on the 360 this would be a colossal waste of money on MS's part.
God I hate that song, it doesn't fit what's going on in game at all, it looks like a dumb youtube music video where somebody dubs some song they personally like over some other thing they personally like even when the two have NOTHING in common thematically.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

Wow, your opinionated assertion easily trumps numerical fact. Check and mate, Soonerman.

A Final Fantasy commercial with R&B feels very weird. If they used J-Pop instead, it would scream "game for animecon nerds only!" But if they had traditional Nobuo Uematsu type of fare, it wouldn't feel out of place for a western commercial and it would suit the game better to boot.
But hey maybe Square-Enix knows something I don't. I'm not one to be all like "it's not authentic japanesu, booo" but still it does seem weird to see R&B used in a FF13 commercial.
That all said, I scratch my head wondering why Final Fantasy even became popular in the western world in the first place. Final Fantasy (and jrpgs in general) has never struck me as a game that makes for great western commercials. But yet the advertising paid off anyway and FF7, FF8 and FFX became huge commercial hits here (FF9 and FF12 less so because they weren't so commercialized in the west but they still drew a lot of buyers based on the FF name alone)

why is everyone ignoring thats a terrible commercial.
Now the Sony fans get a taste of what it was like to be a Nintendo fan back in the mid 90s. At least you guys still get the game.
