I'm not really sure what to say.

Heavy Rain is actually getting consistenly great scores. Which I wasn't expecting, because everyone is suppose to be getting a different game.

I give QD a 9 out of 10 for making that happen.

I've so many magazine of Edge including this month and last month, and to be honest it SUCKS

Especially if Edge if giving 7 to GOW3 is true because after playing the Demo, One of the best Demo I've played and am more into FPS than hack and slace games

I wouldn't doubt it, I think its true, I mean they did say the 360 is the only reason core gaming exist.

Ha, and the reason for this is pretty obvious...most journamists likely aren't that great at action games, and likely don't compare them at a high level. To appreciate how substantially better a game like Ninja Gaiden's combat system and AI is, you have to put in some dedication. Something most journalists on a time constraint don't have.

Having said that, EDGE is easily the most respectable reviewer of action games, in my opinion. They give credit where credit is due. God of War has amazing visual presentation, but the core gameplay is severely lacking comparitively. Understand that Ninja Gaiden's combat system is essentially the masterwork of a team who has been making action/ fighting game's for well over a decade. God of War aped most of their elenments from Ninja Gaiden, and made the game more acessable. But it also dumbed down the AI, and offered a shallow impercise combat system, and the QTE gimmick in its abcense. Also, God of War's story is mediocre as well, so a critical eye would easily catch that as not necisarily an amazing point either.

Bayonetta on the other hand, has risen to the challenge, and amazingly, offered a comparable combat system to Ninja Gaiden II, while also offering up a healthy dose of insanity, surpased the amazing presentation seen in previous God of Wars, while surpassing both by innovating on top of that (wall walking, amazingly responsive and percise controls, dodging out of every single animation on-ground or in the air), offering a substantial and incredibly polished campaign, large enemy veriety, amazing boss fights, and tons of extras, and unlockables that significantly enhance the replayability of the game.

Anyways, I'm sure, just like the previous God of War's, GOWIII will be immensely popular, and recieve amazing reviews. But there's a good reason experienced action-game fans/critics pretty much universally consider the series lower-tier than the Devil May Cry's, Ninja Gaidens, and Bayonettas. Luckily for us nerds, at least one publication puts in enough effort to see this as well.

Great moves guys, lambast people for a review without:

1. Having read the text to know the pro's and con's of whether they were reasonable
2. Played the game yourself to say their opinion is wrong

I predicted HR to end up 85ish on Metacritic so this isn't really surprising to me, the game is a marmite style game and will get some bad reviews by people that just don't enjoy the gameplay.
