Forums - Sales Discussion - Prices for Key 360 and PS3 Titles (interesting comparison!)

SONY/publishers charge more since piracy is non existent on PS3 at this point.

The ps3 is still comparatively a "premium priced" product compared to the 360, so gamers wouldn't mind shelling out a few extra quid in terms of "perceived" value.

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

I only bothered checking 2 prices from your list: Mass Effect 2 and Resistance 2 on Amazon.com.

For Mass Effect, you used the cheapest price available (49.99, not actually from Amazon but a partner) where as for Resistance you used the highest (57 from Amazon, but could be had for 34.75 from a partner).

Could this be a simple mistake? Absolutely, but if there are errors in the first comparison, I wonder how many others there are? Sadly, I'm too sleepy to check, so will only comment, that I have no comment as I don't trust the veracity of the data presented at this time.

It kind of throws out the argument that no piracy would lower the price of games.

Actually thats a very good point. The question is, why then are ps3 games priced more? So Sony can make up their hardware prices?

I'm confused....do we club seals or facepalm people who use amazon to site MSRP?

I don't know... we usually club seals when people use amazone for sale numbers but for pricing? facepalming seals?
