Forums - Gaming Discussion - OH MY GOD, HEAVY RAIN IS SO AWESOME

Yes, demo was fantastic indeed. I'm sure it will win over a good amount of people over to purchase it.

Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!

Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!

I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

It sure won me over.. I wasn't interested in heavy rain at all, until that demo.

I played it... judgement reserved.

The dialogue doesnt flow too well and the movement is a little off....

character models are incredibly good, as are most of the settings, the only other thing I noticed is that some things dont look grounded... the car in movement for example.

But no doubt it looks amazng so far.... not yet entirely convinced on gamplay.

Still getting it though.

I have pretty much the same opinion although I'm a bit more positive about the gameplay.

It's basically just the walking controls I can't stand. So I guess I won't play it for longer than 1 hour sessions. (my hands started to hurt after finishing the demo)

same thing with me

was not impressed at all

What didn't impress you

@Kowenicki

the gameplay was perfect in my opinion, then again I'm not the type of guy that plays X game and then every game has to have the same control system or I wont play it (example: COD to KZ)

That annoys me. People calling KZ2s controls hard to use because they aren't like CoD. I want to say get the hell over it. They are not hard to use. Anyways I got the game on pre-order. I'm with CGI. No demo so I don't spoil myself.

1st of all the graphics= i was hoping to be blown away but no

2nd the game play= i felt like i was moving a robot

3rd- as much as i loved Indigo Prophecy I still have hope for this one

but like i said b4 this is just a demo and i wont judge the game (like forza 3 terrible demo but great game) but i did cancel my preorder

1st im gonna rent it then I'll decide

Not my type of game I guess. Hate having the feeling of moving around like a grandpa/ma.

Dialogue seems like a B-film type of.

Graphics are superb and animation + sound as well.

Ain't getting it though..it's for a niche market.

yeah the controls can turn you off but its supposed to make you immersed to the game.
the character walk really slow but so far i'm hooked because of the atmosphere and graphics that the game delivers. The story sounds really interesting and it feels like i'm responsible for my PC's fate. Definitely getting this one and guys play the game first before you diss it.
Only you yourself can decide whether the game sucks or not.
No one else should tell you if the game sucks or not. xD

1.What were you playing on? If it was an HD TV with an HDMI cable, color me suprised, I guess you don't like a dark setting, the graphics surpass U2 for me.

2. I disagree, the gameplay was perfect, especially for game like this.

The only thing I didn't like about the gameplay was the walking, it felt a bit unintuitive and I find that changing direction can be a pain in the ass. I hope I get use to it if I play longer.

I would have liked a more traditional directional walk compounded with something similar to the 'heavy' feel you get when you aim a weapon in Killzone. (IE: it takes longer for inputs to register outscreen and the movement must first gain momentum, making the onscreen motion more natural and less twitchy).

Right now I move like a drunkard in some scene, trying desperately to walk in a straight line only to see myself twitching left then right then left again.
