I think you're being a little overdramatic here... Between high school and college is hardly the worst part of life.

Don't worry this is isn't going to be the worst point in your life, it's just going to get worst and worst the older you get :)
Hope that helps lol
Oh don't worry. Life only goes down hill. The best years are over for you and I.
I'm currently around the same spot as you only with out a girlfriend [not a traditional one in the sense]
The only thing really keeping me happy is my lady friend and I'm moving in the summer [for school]... while she's moving at least a month earlier than me to somewhere else [for school...]. We have plans to see each other as much as possible until we're actually able to go back to the way things are now but hey, life sucks. Something's bound to fuck up those plans.
I hope this helps.

17 was easy for me, as i've always known i've been college-bound, and i had no girlfriend (still don't).
Granted, my life would seem painfully boring to some, so you might not want to emulate my experience.
Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
don't break up with your gf unless you actually want to :) but dont stay with her just for the sake of it either, do what makes you happy.
personally, the ages 19-20 were the toughest for me, i can't imagine life being that tough again for quite some time.
Well, I was always whining about life, future work, school, university, didnt have a girlfriend, didnt do much things, kinda like a typical Holden Caulfield.
I havent changed much in 2 years.
I didnt study much but I guess Im intelligent or maybe its that my school is great because I study law in the most important university in my country aand it wasnt hard for me to get in, but I dont enjoy it much, I live with my parents(very common here at this age unless you go to a university thats on another city).
I think you are ok, my brothers are turninig 17 in april and all they do is play Wow, Dota, playstation and sometimes they study to get ok grades.
All I could tell you is that my last year in school was kind of a mix of things, I was really digusted about expectations other people put on you at that age, I didnt want to do anything, etc... but it was the last year I went to school and those days when I skipped class and I just rested in the grass of my school thinking about nothing and talking with my friends was something I really enjoyed, kinda like nothing else bothered me at that time.
Im not a good example of the way you shpuld live though, I dont think Im very happy with me not liking most of the things in life.

Go to college, earn a degree, get a nice job. This is the best time of your life not the worst. It all goes downhill after a while. Don't worry be happy.
17 was fine, mostly because all the things I had experienced up to that point and the anticipation of college.
21, however, was hell. I was diagnosed with cancer, had relationship problems, struggled with substance abuse and severe depression.
Believe me, it gets better. Just meditate on your life, how you want to make an impact, and you'll do fine.
Now I'm two months from a Master's degree, in a serious, healthy relationship, and fairly content.
I can understand how easy it is to be depressed/cynical about how your life is unfolding. But just try to remove yourself for a moment, reflect on your position in life, and where you want to be. Then obtain it.

Rath said: Actually a bit on topic. At 21 you're an adult, at 19 you're a teenager. What the hell are you at 20? |
i thought it was:
14=teen
18=mature
21=adult
