He even worked for the WonderSawn which was released 2 years after he died in 1999, he never saw the final product of his own creation which is sad.

Was thinking of Gunpei lately, even made a few threads that evolved him.

Damn, I knew it was in a car accident but not like that. 0_o

I know 13 years ago, but still I can imagine what games he would of made had he sat in the car about 10 seconds late or early than he did.

Thats the sad part, people get recognition for that. Its terrible that happened to him.

I still think Nintendo set that up and he was murdered. He was with a Nintendo employee when he died.

Gunpei, in my opinion, is the most important person in modern video gaming history.

I woudl love Nintendo to put VC on DSi, so I can have a blast at metroid II, Links awakening and super mario land, now those iwl lsurley sell well.

The video game industry has only come so far by standing on the shoulders of Yokoi. He had the balls to stand up to Nintendo and the whole video game industry with his crazy wacky idea that battery life was more important than power or even having color or more than 4 shades of cream spinach. But it was this idea that led to the Game Boy outselling the entire industry at the time.

And it's not just video games. Yokoi's everywhere. Who hasn't seen a Love Tester or an Ultra Hand?
