Ocarina. Really it was a perfectly crafted game in my opinion.

Lttp, Galaxy, SM64 and Links Awakening all come close though in my opinion. Haven't played enough metroid to really comment on them.

Ocarina of time

Ocarina of Time.

I LOVE ICELAND!

Recently the most high quality has been the two Mario games Nintendo has made on Wii: Super Mario Galaxy and New Super Mario Bros Wii. I don't think people really give enough credit, but these games have some of the greatest attention to detail and polish that I've ever played. Whether it be graphics, gameplay mechanics, or design of levels and puzzles. It's just amazing how much polish all around there are in both of those games. You just don't see that level of quality in a lot of games... well most of them to be exact. Only that special few. There is a reason Galaxy was considered one of the best.

Now I think the Zelda series as a whole shows this high quality in a lot of areas as well. And as an entire franchise, easily the highest quality Nintendo puts out. But for most of the Nintendo franchises, there is this amazing attention to polishing the game to make it play and look as good as possible which is why i respect them as a developer so much.

Althought there are better nintendo games, Metroid Prime trilogy stands out as a series.

super mario mario galaxy amazed me

To be honest I am awed by most the Nintendo games from the sheer point of ideas put into them.(least the ones I have played). I really think their vision of R.P.G. is up there. You get your levels, you get to kill things over and over, you get different areas, you get a nice story all with Nintendo's awesome creativity.

super mario bros 3 for sure, the graphics looked awesome for its time, its probably one of the best grapghics on nes by far

oh and ocarina of time is one of them as well, simple its arguably the best game of all time, the open world was revolutionary, and looking at it now it still looks revolutionary
