Forums - Gaming Discussion - Did Microsoft obtain exclusive marketing rights for FF13?

Actually SE probably asked them to do this for them as an incentive for bringing FF to 360.

Why would SE want the 360 logo at the end of the comercial? What would that do for them?

I think MS either bought the rights...

maybe because the brand is so tied to playstation that people have no idea it's on the 360. FF will obviously be on ps3. PS3 owners bought PS for FF13 until they found out about multiplat. So, the commercial puts out the idea of FF (which the ps3 owners will be reminded of) and 360 (to inform the 360 owners).

Actually the Leona Lewis vid also has her playing it on PS3. The download of the vid is off of PSN.

Sony has fallen pretty far IMO. MS is doing their job (damaging the Playstation brand name) well.

Microsoft will push it like it is an exclusive.

As did Sony with Assassin's Creed 2.

Not the first time MS has made an effort to appeal to JRPG fans.

PS3 has no LB button dude.

Well old FF fans, you know the ones that started with 7, are already getting it on the PS3. the people that played the game (like me) since before that will probably random. The Xbox is probably targetting newer gamers to the JRPG. If this Commercial runs, there'll be a lot of high school gamers and younger that will get it on the 360, just cause of the commercial......exactly the way how 7 got popular.

Commercial aired 4 times within 2 hours.

Just want to play good games
