I was in the app store and i saw a couple of mario games.has nintendo allowed these companies(small game developers for iphone) to whore out their biggest mascot like this??

this does not seem like what nintendo usually does.

so what is the deal here?

if there are any Mario games, then they are people who stole the IP. This is like people creating Super Mario Bros levels in LBP, except on the app store people would be selling them.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

What is interesting is that these should not be approved in the first place by Apple if they are violating a copyright on an IP.
