February 11, 2010 - A new Final Fantasy XIII-themed Xbox 360 bundle appears to be headed to North American shores. 

A listing found on Microsoft's 'Expertzone' retailer website displays the new bundle, complete with package shots and details. The bundle is said to include a limited edition console, two wireless controllers, a 250GB harddrive, AV and network cables, a headset, and a copy of the game, of course. No release date was given, but it looks like it will cost $399. 

Square-Enix did release a special edition PlayStation 3 bundle, but it was limited to only Japan. 

We contacted Square-Enix for comment and will provide an update when we hear back. 

Update: Microsoft has confirmed the bundle, saying it will be available on March 9 in limited quantities. Special faceplates will also be available. Official word below:

Xbox 360 is the only console outside of Japan to be bundled with the game, available in stores starting March 9, while supplies last. In addition, a very limited number of "FINAL FANTASY XIII" Limited Edition Faceplates have been created by designer Tetsuya Nomura. These faceplates are only available promotionally in fixed quantities across select retailers in Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand

that statement makes so much more sense now, since it seems former huge playstation ip, are being more assosiated with the XBOX brand than the playstation brand.

Sony could make a ltd edition as well. Havent seen anything about it being an exclusive deal. And its the marketing wat matters anyway. Which brand will be advertised at the end of the adverts!

Now that I have calmed down from getting smacked down by radiantshadow on this, is this announcement a megaton? or like a mega-half-ton or something of that magnatude, since there won't be a PS3 bundle in NA?

Kotaku is saying that the 360 bundle is the only bundle to be release outside of Japan.
