That means Madworld outsold Bayonetta PS3 it's first NPD btw, even with 1 week less of sales.

They are pretty relevant because i can't see Europe nearly beating US in 1st week sales for a highish profile fps game.

And for what you say to be true would mean the 2nd week of sales for MAG would have to be higher then the 1st, again sorry but i can't see that happening. Because that would assume the game would of had to be around the same position in the charts, especially here in UK seeing as we sell the most games in europe. But in MAGS 1st week chart it came in at number 7
http://www.chart-track.co.uk/index.jsp?c=p/software/uk/latest/index_test.jsp&ct=110015
MW2 sold more.

So i call bullshit, MAG did not get anywhere near 500k.

Sorry, but i'll listen to the guy who knows what they are talking about before I listen to your "i call bullshit"

Hey if you want to listen to him then good for you, if you believe him then again good for you :)

I look forward to seeing the numbers being posted and seeing the chart updated on GFK.

Alright... let me put it another way. I'd rather listen to the guy who knows what he is talking about before the guy who doesn't know how to read a simple chart...

Wow, it is like that is it?

So if i am right in that this weeks numbers are not higher then last weeks, and MAG moves at minimum 1 place down the weeks charts does that then make me know what im talking about? Because it would mean not only good old Jack was wrong, it would mean you were wrong too?

You said it came in at 7 when clearly it did not. It came in 4th. There is where you went wrong at first. Not only that but it doesnt need to sell more secon week since the game has been out for 3 weeks. There is your second mistake

It says 7 on the chart. Remember it is the formats chart that is used. If we want to go there though lets look at that all formats chart.

In that chart you see next to MAG there are two numbers right? LW which means "Last Weeks" position and TW "This Weeks" position. Meaning it has been in the chart for 2 updates.

So lets look at the number 1 game on all formats chart. "Lets Dance". Last week it was 2nd selling in total in Europe 79k. The following week it took 1st spot. For that week its european sales were 87k. Which means what? It means if it was number 1 and sold 87k and MAG was 4th did it sell more then Just Dance, or less then Just Dance?

Obviously to be lower in the chart means it sold less then Just Dance in the UK. Meaning in the biggest sofftware market in europe it did not beat that game. Thus concluding the only way it could of done those numbers was if in the other countires it sold more then in UK, very doubtful.

Your assuming that a newly released game will have the same intrest in the rest of europe as just dance going just by UK's charts. Thats a good way of having terrible conclusions.

We do have software charts for other European countries and MAG is not breaking any records in there.

Good thing 500k WW in three weeks isn't breaking any records.

Yeah, but we actually have MAG at 300K on this site... and that's with it's US sales being higher compaired to NPD.

It seems clear he's not counting sales, he's gotta be including alt accounts, or betas or something... or even shipped and just stated it stupidly, it wouldn't be the first time Trenton said something that wasn't correct.

We know NPD's MAG Number <171K.

We have it greater then that week 1... at nearly 200K.

http://vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=35119&region=All

Also, he was banning people who suggested the hardware numbers were undertracked when it was explained a thousand tiems that's all.

Also, i wasn't saying he overtracked it.  I said it was over compaired to the NPD numbers yet our numbers didn't get it to 500K either with any sense of reason.

In otherwords... Jack's numers don't add up.  No matter how you cut them... he's spinning.

Prepare to be embarrased because i knew you would say that :)

Just Dance last week worldwide sold 141k. Of that 141k around 70% of the sales were in europe, as mentioned 87k. Because of those european sales (because it is not out in Japan) it helped the title get to 8th in the worldwide software chart for the week.

So basically for what you to say is true would mean sales in Europe for Just dance would have to be dominantly in UK. And MAGs numbers would have to be Dominantly outside of UK.

Go look at the european charts and show me where MAG is number one on their charts.

171 x 1.1 = 190k... I'm not seeing your point.

And even if NPD has MAG at 150k it still adds up... I'm not sure whats so hard to grasp.

and NMH too i think.

Yeah, probably...

NMH = 65k (1 week)

NHM2 <30k (< 1 week)

Madworld = 89k (3 weeks)

Bayonetta 360 <115k (4 weeks)

Bayonetta PS3 <66k (4 weeks)

...it's actually possible MW outsold Bayonetta 360 as well, though I kinda doubt that one.
